Not to your issue, but you should also have a "user" account for your day-to-day NAS use. Restrict the use of administrator logins to NAS administration.I have three accounts - Admin, mine and guest
How can that be? In your OP, you said you disabled the default admin account. You could only do that through an administrator account you set up. So surely you can log on with that created administrator account. How do I log into the Admin account - I never set it up
Plex under DSM7 has a new system internal account. So what account is in question here?I'm getting this notification on my 1815+ for the first time with DSM7. I use a Plex server, so I assume I have to use guest. Any way to make that account more secure? It only has access to the folder where my MKVs are located.
There is no circumstance that requires you to enable the guest account to use Plex.I use a Plex server, so I assume I have to use guest.
I’m assuming you mean if you’re using the Synology as the server, right?Plex under DSM7 has a new system internal account. So what account is in question here?
Wow, I guess that is an old assumption of mine that’s been wrong all along. Thanks for that info! There is no circumstance that requires you to enable the guest account to use Plex.
Isn't that the question here? Account under DSM 6.2.4?I’m assuming you mean if you’re using the Synology as the server, right?
