We have a shared folder on our Synology NAS. We need to map this folder for a few users outside our network (LAN) over the internet? What is the best and easiest way to do this without having connection issues.
 
The question has been raised many times before, and I recommend to find your answer online. I do attach two random links how to set this up.
basically there are two options:
webdav:

or VPN:


I think that the VPN connection would be the safer option, but opinions may differ.
Connection issues are Part of life and are not influenced by either choice, as your connections are outside the control of the VPN or Webdav.
