Hello brains 🧠

I´ve used my Synology DS220+ for several months now and I´ve been really satisfied.
BUT suddenly I noticed that all my photos and media creates a copy of themself on my non-mirrored drive. Every media has double the size within the same drive. Not mirrored that is. Is it possible to fix this? I´ve got 3TB of media and documents on Dropbox that I would like to import do my NAS, but with this size it will be impossible.

THANKS IN ADVANCE,
Joacim

can you explain a bit on your setup? which folders are these photo's originally, where are they copied, do you use sync tools like drive?
Thanks @EAZ1964 :)

My photos are synced from Dropbox to my DS220+ via Cloud Sync. I´ve attached some screenshots if it helps?

Best regards,
Joacim

I do not really understand your explanation. You have two drives in mirror (RAID1), so there is no non-mirrored drive.

Is your issue that there are copies in Home and in homes?
Can you show me the cloudsync task with destination folders?
Do you run synology photos, and did you specify that all foto's are in personal photos?

The problem is that the Stupid photos app requires the photos to be copied even though they are already sitting on the synology. His dropbox is ALREADY copied to synology.

The mirroing is a red herring here - it has nothing to do with the problem. I face the same problem with a single non-mirrored drive. The photos app in DSM7 and (PhotoStation in DSM6) makes its copy of the photos even if the photos are already on the Synology

Why not sync the Dropbox photos to the /photos folder on the synology nas? Then they only live in one folder and are accessible through the photos app??
