DSM 7.1 Hyper Backup (unable to access the backup destination)

I setup Hyper Backup for weekly folders backup to external USB HDD. Recently facing an issue of unable to read backup and displays error message of (unable to access the backup destination). Also backup is failing.

Any advice?

The USB device is accessible via DSM? The NAS can detect it? Data on the drive is accessible via File Station for example?

No need to bold, I have seen that message. I was going in the direction to maybe get some more details from the HB log or Log Center.

If there is no solution atm, format the drive and try a fresh run. Also it would be good to open a ticket with Syno but while you wait for that, can you check the message file in the var/logs folder (accessible via SSH). Maybe there is more details why the task is failing. Have a look and share (if you want).

I thought and did the same. I did fresh run and created new backup job...Ongoing...
