Yesterday I started getting warnings from Hyperbackup that my backup to Dropbox is suspended. I'm receiving the following error message:

Data backup task on <redacted> suspended.

Task name: Dropbox
Backup destination: <redacted> NAS / <redacted>_2.hbk
Start time: Sat, Dec 14 2024 03:53:57
Duration: 43 minutes 45 seconds

Make sure the network connection is stable and the backup destination space is sufficient.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I resume it, but it happens again. Previously it had been working flawlessly.

And:
Network connection is stable ?
And:
the backup destination space is sufficient ?

Yes, I'm not experiencing any issues with network connection (unless it's specific to Dropbox's servers). I have 1.5 TB of space still available with Dropbox and the backup is 0.5 TB.

Maybe ask Dropbox ?

Maybe ask Dropbox ?
Trying to get in touch with them is like trying to get in touch with a Congressman.

I've changed DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 without resolution of the problem.

Would think if this was a Dropbox issue that more people would have reported it by now. Of course I'm not ruling out Dropbox being the problem just because I haven't seen similar reports.

I have tested with Dropbox:
2024-12-27_15-59-23.webp

2024-12-27_16-00-17.webp

2024-12-27_16-01-55.webp

And yes, it's working for me so, I'm not sure why it's not working for you.

BUT, have a look in /var/log/packages/HyperBackup.log

This is my log from the above backup to Dropbox:

2024/12/27 15:49:22 (system) trigger HyperBackup 4.1.2-4039 Begin start-stop-status prestart
2024/12/27 15:49:22 (system) trigger HyperBackup 4.1.2-4039 End start-stop-status prestart ret=[0]

Weird. I've changed DNS, restarted gateway/NAS, etc. without any change. Deleted the hyperbackup process and restarted.

Was going to use BackBlaze but their pricing is difficult to figure out.

What is the typical charge for 1 TB/month of storage without need to download anything (since that would be a one-off to restore if necessary)?

I don't think it's any faster than C2's bandwidth it seems.

For C2 is a speedtest available.
I use Stack from TransIP in the Netherlands, €7,25/month for 1.2TB
