This post is kind of a follow-up to an earlier posting regarding the interaction/no interaction between Synology 1520+ running DSM 7.1.1 and iDrive. After three failed attempts to get iDrive technical support on the issue, I am asking a support question here.
iDrive technical support suggested I upload and install the following file: hostNameIssueFix (5).php However, they were no help in doing the installation. Can anyone here give me a hand? The basic issue (as I understand it) relates to an error in the latest version of DSM whereby when using the iDrive app, it does not recognize the attempt to connect iDrive to the Synology. iDrive says it is a Synology problem. What I can gather from the iDrive tech support is the patch (hostNameIssueFix (5).php) above might fix the problem. However, I can not (and tech support could not) figure out how to install this patch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
