Using a DS1621+ running DSM 7.1.1 how do you upgrade/replace Storage Pool 2, with two 14TB Drives, if
the Storage Pool is at 99% full.

Everything I've read so far suggests pulling out one of the drives and replacing it with one of the 14TB Drives an allow it to rebuild.
But there is no RAID redundancy on this storage pool so not sure how that works.

Used Hyperbackup to backup Storage Pool 2 to a USB External Device.

Number Model Drive Size Status Storage Pool
Drive 1 ST2000VN000-1H3164 1.8 TB Norm Storage Pool 2
Drive 2 ST2000VN000-1H3164 1.8 TB Norm Storage Pool 2
Drive 3 ST14000NM001G-2KJ103 12.7 TB Norm Storage Pool 1
Drive 4 ST14000NM0018-2H4101 12.7 TB Norm Storage Pool 1
Drive 5 ST14000NM001G-2KJ103 12.7 TB Norm Storage Pool 1
Drive 6 ST14000NM0018-2H4101 12.7 TB Norm Storage Pool 1

Volume-2 99% 3.5 TB 3.5 TB <-- replace with 2 14TB Drives

If the volumes on Storage Pool 2 are only used for Shared Folders, and you have capacity on a volume in Storage Pool 1, then you can use Control Panel to move the Shared Folders from SP2 to SP1.

BTW the way storage space is created: physical HDD/SSD -> Storage Pools (one or more) -> Volumes (one or more per pool) -> Shared Folders. But for the packages you install then these are installed on whichever Volume you have selected, so check in Package Center before decommissioning SP2.

Thanks so much for your suggestions, tried moving the Volume-2 folders but
Got message:
This action cannot be performed due to the following reasons:
Backup destination of Active Backup for Business ( Only supports Btrfs Volume)

Volume1 - EXT4
Volume2 - BTRFS

So couldn't migrate the folders to Volume1. Was looking for the least painful method and the
USB backup/restore of Volume2 is really slow.
