Install Photo App without enabling Home/Home

I don't like the structure of my first NAS which is around Home/Homes. My newest NAS did not create that. When I try to disable the Home/Homes it tells me that Synology Photo needs it. I have heard that other program might need it too?. But I'd rather have a folder structure with Data at the tope with folders underneath it, like Documents, Music, Photos.

On my new NAS I'd like to install Photos but not enable the Home/Homes. Is that possible?

You can easily enable the shared folder storage like /Photo by setting up the shared space for the photo app.
I am not aware how to Not use the homes folder unfortunately.

In general, user has his own space on nas. In case you setup as you need, it jump to share space. I think it is the way Syno design its DSM's manner for now.
So, if you have new nas, try to do as you need so it is OK or not?
With share space, you can upload images and share with others easilly.
