Question Installing a forum on a NAS

The question as a whole is the correct setting and protection of the forum. I read somewhere that they open access to a web folder from the outside. With the installation of the forum and setting up the certificate, no questions arise.

Depends how you will deploy the solution. Docker will keep everything contained. Regardless of the method you will still need to harden the security

I could not figure out the docker. For me it is a dense forest.
