Hey all,

Is it possible to use the E10M20-T1 expansion card with a DS1621+?

I’d like to upgrade to 10GBE and use the SSD cache on the card for a volume on my DX517 (using the internal SSDs for the cache on a volume on the 1621 itself).

I wondered if anyone had tried and got it working?

Best Regards

Guy

No reason why it wouldn't work for 10GbE and as the sole cache on the 21+. I use an older Syno 10GbE card on my 21+ and have zero issues with it but no direct experience of the newer card.

Not convinced of the merit of attaching an NVMe cache to an expansion box that is linked by a single eSATA cable, even if DSM happened to allowed it - and I would be surprised if it did.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. So the 10gb network port will work but the SSD cache might not?

Best Regards

Guy
