I’m happy to see, that somebody realise, that it is a problem, too. Today I have left such a feature request on synology help desk:
When you provide an external link to the synology drive folder, it opens perfectly on the desktop. But when viewed from a mobile device, the only choice is to install the mobile app.
Unfortunately, this is very inconvenient for the work and normal use of the file storage (this is a public link, not for your team). For the sake of a few files, a third-party user will not download the application. And this is despite the fact that the view and functionality of viewing folders on mobile devices are implemented. I attach a screenshot of the display on the "small" screen with the emulation of the user agent "mobile" removed. The link to download the drive app can be used as a small banner, without blocking all the functionality with a full-screen. Or at least tell us how to disable this with coding. Public sharing a list of files through the mandatory download of the app is an unworkable. Moreover, this is a simple solution, and the adaptive is implemented correctly. Thanks!”
will try to do something with package code... (mobile version of the share page generation). I understand, that synology is trying to promote the app, but it is totally unusable. Or we should use an Owncloud on synology?)
If you see such a problem with mobile sharing, too, please join our feature enquiry flasmob:
