Issues after DS218J update

Hi everybody,

I have a DS218j since years without any issues.

Two days ago, I saw that i can update to DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 6 ( haven't updated my NAS since many months ). Just after that, I experienced a lot of problems ( please see below ).

It reboots every few hours, or every team I try to open a file on it ( by example a movie on my TV ), i'll be able to see few seconds and then my NAS stops and reboot ( with blinking leds , the blue one regarding the power and the LAN one , HDD leds are orange then they go out )....

I don't know how to solve that, because I believe that we can't downgrade...

Any ideas please ? Is it definitely unusable due to this update ?

Possibly a bad power supply? Do you have it connected to an ups? Could the ups be failing? I’m just basing this theory by logs of improper shutdowns.

There’s some additional updates later than what you have maybe try bringing it full up to date, although I’d caution if your device is turning itself off within the first hour or less of turn on, will it turn off in the middle of an update. Therefore check power stuff first to see if you can get it stable.
