Hi.

I did some tests with the Log Center in order to experiment with remote client/server syslog exchanges. Now I would like to reset these settings back to default on client and server side.

For example, I selected on server side:
Log Center > Archive Settings > Storage destination for archives > Destination : <a shared folder>
The selected shared folder remains visible, even if I delete the entry (Apply with empty entry isn't accepted by DSM).
I would like to have the default "Please select a shared folder" light gray textbox placeholder again, without any selected shared folder.

Using DSM, this doesn't seem possible!?
Where are these settings saved in the filesystem (I have root access)?
I know, changes as root might damage the system.

Many thanks,

Got a response from Synology support, the .xz file is a Linux compressed format. Use 7zip to uncompress it.

Not via GUI, but you could load up via SSH and check /var/log/messages file, for more details.
