Well done, this is also a good resource
UniFi Controller in Docker
It also covers the controller update procedure which is important.

Step 4 in your procedure is important as it stores the UniFi data OUTSIDE of the container and allows you to blow away or update the container without losing your data.

Thx for the additional and more detailed resource.

The Site migration wizzard has (in some cases) problem with admin credentials (it happens) move to the new site, then the backup/restore works perfectly.

today migrated both operated Sites (remote) to NAS, works perfect.
Single management by iOS App for all common operation cases connected to NAS Unifi Controller and you can manage bot Sites from the App.
Need to tune port and set-inform, but finally the verdict is pretty fine.
Also pretty fine for the Hot spot portal - each site can use Hot spot smart App connected to Nas controller for Guest connections. Like it.

jeyare updated Migrating existing Ubiquity UniFi Controller to Docker in Synology NAS with a new update entry:

Wildcard SSL Certificate import to Synology dockerized Unifi controller - done

This tutorial is about import of Wildcard X509 certificate.
I spend 3 days with research, and I found just many trials and errors. Nightmare, thanks to totally unsupported topic and Ubiquiti attitude (same as Synology). Tons of solutions across internet, but each of them useless for Wildcard cert.

Then I have done for you fully functional guide. Tested and implemented right now. You now can spend 5 minutes only. Cheers.
I use description also for newbies.

Step by step of UNIFI...

up to your “business model”
I have one RT2600ac installed in one of my remote site, perfect fitting for the purpose. When it will die I will replace it by Unifi. Last man standing.
Still great for me, because I can compare both technology. Definitely, Unifi is in higher level.
