Should you have Internet access outages then data can be made available on the LAN. Big companies can re-route internal sites to other Internet gateways [while they still use WANs that aren't 100% over Internet] but smaller organisations may not have this ability.
Also for cloud services: do you know where the data is physically stored? Do you know the local legal jurisdiction and how you fit into it?
