I'm really happy with it now, just need to iron out a few little bugs like this pesky DMZ issue

I hope once you get this settled, you would put together a nice write-up here on how to get even one of these reverse proxy links... for example sonarr.secret.synology.me, working.

I'm still stuck with the http/https ports I set in DSM and now I'm discovering that http to https is more than checking this box...

which I've yet to see has any effect on what I do. Whether I enter simply http or use the http port to access DSM, I get a darned blank browser, and I must only use both https and the https port.

Hi,
It can be a pain working through this minefield, but every now and then (3am this morning for me) you have a moment of clarity. Hahaha With page after page of settings, it's easy to overlook the most simple of things, for my DMZ issue I realised that I had not set a port rule on my router for 443. Mistakenly I believed that this port was set to open by default. Anyways, I created the rule and hey presto, its works.

For the reverse proxy settings, I followed the excellent guide by Rusty;

As for the automatic HTTP -> HTTPS forwarding, I'll be trying out;

But I think for the rest of the day I'm going to try and take my mind off all things Synology before I go crazy. 😂

Great idea about putting a write-up together, I'm certainly no expert, but if I can help anyone with the same problem, then I'm all for it.

Again, thank you to everyone on here for all of your help!

Glad you got it working. Sorry I never came back on, although in lockdown I am working from home and it was a busy day. Just needed to take my eyes away from a computer monitor.

If you need anything else just ask. One reason I joined this community was the benevolent helpful nature of the group.

Hi,

Not a problem at all, I know how you feel, the hours fly past when you set your mind to a task.

These forums have been a huge resource, and everyone has been extremely helpful.

Take care.

Regards.
