Additional information:
My family uses both Windows and Macs, with iOS mobile devices. I’d like something which can take many years of family photo backups and automatically organize them, deleting duplicates, and integrate that with storage of future photos taken mostly on iOS devices. I’d also like to be able to do backups of our computers, iPads, and iPhones. I just want the security of knowing my data’s backed up and an easy way to look through old home movies/photos so I can, for example, select some to share with grandparents via photo books or video compilations. I don’t think I have any use for a VPN or Plex or an email server or anything unusual. I like the idea of a RAID 5 in a 4-bay solution, but would consider RAID 1 in a two-bay.
