Update 11/24 - Hello everyone. I'm sorry for not better introducing myself. My name is Yilia and I'm on the marketing team at Ugreen. We're a tech company that makes a number of acessories for phones, tablets, and laptops. We're planning to launch a NAS device next year and are looking for testers from the UK, USA, and Germany who can give us feedback on our NAS device after trying it out. The document is so that we can gauge a user's knowledge of NAS devices to make sure we're getting knowledgeable testers. If you're worried about the legitimacy of the application form I've attached some photos of our Facebook user group where we also posted the call for testers. The group is for all users of our products not just NAS devices so we added the questions about NAS to make sure we picked people who understood the product, which obviously is of no concern here. Please check the group if you're worried about the link we've posted. We've also contacted SynoForum via email to make sure that we could make this post and I've included a photo of the email as well. If you have any questions about us, the product, the post, or anything else please ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Ugreen is holding a NAS device testing program and is looking for NAS users in the USA, UK and Germany with deep knowledge to test our new NAS devices and share their invaluable and authentic feedback with us. The members of SynoForum have a deep understanding of NAS devices, so you are best qualified to speak on what NAS users need and what functions are important. Therefore, we would like to invite SynoForum users in the USA, UK and Germany to join our testing program.

CAUTION: Google account sign-in required. Unless you know and trust the OP you would be wise to disregard this "offer". There's normally no need for that to complete a Google form, however it is required by the redirected Google link above.

Odd too, that the sign up form would not accessed through the OP's domain, and that the OP offers no evidence of their affiliation with the Ugreen organization.

Changed to another random password. Updated each email and login. Both used 2 factor on each so I’m back to normal on all devices, and will be alerted…

Thank you for warning. Damn me, I’m smarter than that, or so I thought!

eons ago did lots of high end video post production & broadcast TV equipment beta testing, but I’m self taught on IT stuff, so proficient in technical IT terms and workings, I’m not.

Interesting! However the form says US/DE only...

I'm sorry we were not very clear in regards to who we are and created some confusion. We have updated the post above with more information

This is the same document we used in our Facebook group to look for testers. At the time we were only looking for testers from the USA and Germany. We have since expanded that to include the UK but forgot to update the document. It has now been updated and I apologize for the confusion. Prijava v Facebook

Sorry, Thought it was items for our existing NAS's, not a completely different NAS...

Probably the only Item I'd seriously consider adding would be a NAS Supported 2.5/5GB via USBV3 ethernet connection... I'd need 5 of these devices.... 3 for Synology NAS's and 2 for Windows Computers... (Not for Video Editing use, I have local SSD Raid0's for that! -- just to speed up file transfers).

That would then make a Network Switch Layer upgrade here do-able (adding a 8 portt 2.5/5GB Switch with Edit system(s) and NAS's on that layer, and a GB interconnect to existing main GB Switch layer...
That would be the only Device at present that I'd be interested in... A NAS Supported 2.5/5GB ethernet adapter !

That would set the stage for a future router upgrade with 2.5/5 as well... (Hint, Hint!)

Having to replace NAS's & drives to achieve that speed -- in addition to Switch and Adapters, would make the network upgrade Far Too expensive... I'd never be able to 'sell' that! and I'd therefore stay where I am now: GB ethernet... That would remove a futture router upgrade from the mix as well... because the 2.5/5 layer never materialized. That is where I'm at...

Great thanks for clarifying!

Hi, where are you?:giggle:
