NAS
DS1019+ DSM6
Operating system
  1. Windows
Mobile operating system

i've woke up this morning to find the DS1019+ responding extremely slowly.
resource monitor widget says 95% RAM being used, CPU 24% (however CPU varies up and down).
the NAS is, apprently, sitting idle doing nothing,
loading DSM takes an age.
i rebooted the NAS, it took an age to come back up, and after 15 minutes it's still running the same with 95% RAM usage. half of the dockers still haven't come up yet.
system health says "healthy"
opening "resource monitor" - took about 2 minutes to open.
task manager - sits at loading then eventually fails to open (operation failed, please log in to DSM again and retry).
SSH - took about 1 minute for the login prompt to appear.

where can i see what is causing this?

it was a rogue cronjob taking hours to complete (usually runs overnight).
it happened two days in a row, so i've killed that cronjob for now
