“Network is disconnected” mid-way through Migration Assistant

Context & Physical Setup:
  • I’m trying to migrate my DS1813+ to a DS1515+ using Migration Assistant
  • The destination has 2x the storage capacity as the source
  • Each device is connected to my main network using its LAN1+LAN2 bonded, or just LAN1 (respectively). Those connections are working great and I can log in to DSM on both through that connection
  • LAN3+LAN4 are bonded on each device and they are directly connected to one another using two CAT6 cables (LAN3-LAN3 and LAN4-LAN4). Static IPs are assigned on each device ( and, and they successfully see one another
Status & Problem (I’ve included screenshots of all of this):
  • The migration has been humming along without any problems until 93% of the way through the “Data” portion of the migration
  • Migration Assistant paused with the message “Network is disconnected”
  • I’ve tried to Resume it countless times, but it always stops a second or so later with the same message
  • The bonded network interface looks healthy (and besides, it already transferred many TB of data)
Does anyone have a clue as to what could be happening here?
