I'm having trouble with email notifications for shared files in Drive.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something or is this some kind of bug?
Testing setup (DSM7, latest synology drive package installed)
- An admin user
- without email setup in personal area, but with system email notifications enabled and working (through mailjet)
- in file station cannot right click on a file and "send as email attachment" as the email is not setup in personal area
- in synology drive settings-general the notify me with email and chat boxes are clicked
- A normal user
- with email setup (gmail account) in personal area, email shows on synology drive settings
- in file station can right click on a file and "send as email attachment" and it sends the file, so the email integration is working

Notifications test
- From admin account everythins seems to work even though no email has been setup:
- Share a file with normal user
- Notification on appears on chat and webapp
- Email is received
- Uses system email setting for sending email (weird ¿?)

- Share file with admin user
- Notification on appears on chat and webapp
- No email is sent (email does not appear on "sent" on gmail) and obviously no email received
- Share file with admin user
