Posted on behalf of a friend of mine -

Drive Manager and Application Service on my Synology DS218+ both use an outdated version of node.js (V12). This is now EOL and V16 is out. Can I install it and uninstall V12 do you think?

I asked on the Synology Community forum but after 23 reads there have been no replies...

It looks like there are newer versions out there.
