Package updates

For the last few package updates I get notified that there are packages needing to be updated.

When I check I find that they are not actually packages that are installed.

The first time it did this I let them install and then uninstalled them but this is getting silly.

Surely it should only check for installed packages. Why is it doing this?


For example, I'm not running a SAN.

Well it is registering it as installed

I don't think they are.

The last bunch of packages it wanted me to update weren't installed either.

On this screen, do you have all the packages checked? That would cause this.

It's currently Auto-update all packages.

I take that to mean all installed packages.

Is that correct?

The only packages that SHOULD be listed there are installed packages, yes.

OK. Then I think I have a problem. I'll log a job with synology and see if they have a fix. Thanks for sharing
