Hello all,
Would like to ask if SSD cache could give performance improve in a volume dedicated to store and serve large VM files by NFS.
I've read that only certain kinds of data can be cached and VM HDDs are used as block devices where DSM doesn't understand the contents of.
I've also seen a Synology NAS using a SSD read/write cache with 2x Synology 800GB SSD Drives in RAID1 where used space is around 10GB and 790GB free so maybe not using it at all.
Thanks in advance
Rai
