I have seen this post:
I have 1TB WD Blue hard disk. My hard disk take loading for long time. I suspect the PCB problem.
I tried to change the PCB 1TB WD Blue hard disk to my PCB 2TB WD Green. After that both cant detect.
Is there any solution to this problem?

this is really big mistake, when some try to replace PCB between two different HDD from diff. models/revisions of same vendor.
Recommendation for such problem is - hands off

is this some guide how to rebuild the HDD to a new kind of vinyl LP player?

If you remove the magnets, the drive platters seem to spin more rapidly...

I repurposed those as refrigerator magnets. But now I need advice on how to remove those magnets from the 'frig. It behaves as though it is welded on.

Best is to slide the magnets off, though that can lead to a little cosmetic, erm, enhancement to the fridge's paint/lacquer finish.

I've used the magnets on the outside of an Illy coffee lid. Makes a good magnetised tray for screws and bits, provided a slight magnetism isn't detrimental to the piece being worked on.

3.5" HD magnets with a 500g tin lid; 2.5" HD magnets with a 250g lid.

Can't you just inject a little bleach between the platters? Doesn't that normally make it go away?

Or maybe expose them to some deep sunlight? Or UV light or something?

Nah if the HDD feels bad, maybe it needs a little cleaning.
Take the platters out and hand wash them with dishwashing liquid (that's supposed to work on CDs so why not the platters of your hard drives), use hairdryer to dry it afterwards, put it all back together carefully. Should solve any drive issue.
