Prettifying share links

Hi everybody, a first-time poster here.

I configured fairly clean looking share links for File Station, including a custom domain and no port designation.

Is there a way to clean it up even further? How can I skip or customize the "/sharing" bit? Is any of the following possible in DSM7?

Nothing out of the box but you can use a selfhosted link shortener like Shlink.

You don't want to do that. That probaly won't survive DSM updates, and Syno support will turn its back on you if you need them.

I wonder if someone could actually create a Synology app which could reformat share links on the fly.

In general, link shorteners are not to be trusted. I would not impose them on others. If you're trying to disguise the true link, shorteners come up short in that regard.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this, I have my custom domain working with shared links, but can't seem to figure out how to get it to not show the port #.
