ProxyServer (Squid 3.5.28) crashes "FATAL: Received Segment Violation...dying."

In the course of the DSM 7.01 upgrade Squid was upgraded to version 3.5.28.
Since then, accessing the Squid via cachemgr/config reliably generates a "FATAL: Received Segment Violation...dying."
Has someone made similar experiences?
