Hi there: New Synology user here. Know a bit about computers but networking seems beyond me! I'm moving over from WD My Cloud devices to Synology. Just picked up a DS118 to learn on. My question relates to the Quick Connect service for remote access. I have set up an account but its all pretty opaque as to what's going on. MY ISP provides a dynamic IP address which changes occasionally. If my ISP changes my external IP address, will the Quick Connect service automatically change it (like a DDNS)?

Have read the user guide and installation guide, neither of which explained it.

Thanks in advance,

Keith

It will work yes. There are several topics on the matter. Look for @fredbert posts on the forum, he mentioned it in details a few times.
