I am currently backing up critical data from my NAS to the cloud, but wanted to back up my Plex library every so often and store off-site at my parents' house.

I was looking at the WD Elements 16TB drive and was curious if that would work. If so, what would be needed (do I need to reformat it)?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

If you don't have much data, cloud backup is a no-brainer. 300GB costs us about $1.50 a month on B2.
