Hi all,
I have a DS1522+ and I would like to do the following:

I currently have 3 hdd of 3TB (RAID 0) connected in a row, so I have a total of 9TB.

I have now put 2 new hdd of 12TB in slot 4 and 5 and I would like to use these 2 hdd of 12TB in RAID 1 as new main storage.

The question is:
How can I safely transfer/migrate all my data from the 3 hdds to the 2 new ones? After that I would like to use the other 3 hdds for something else and therefore remove them from the DS1522+....

Thanks in advance!

Once your Raid1 is ready (why not SHR? that is much more flexible for future expansion and/or disk change), the easiest way to do this, is to go to configuration screen, shared folders.
then go to your Public folder, edit settings and change its location to your new raid1 (or shr) volume.
Just wait until the move is completed.
Move on to the next until all shared folders are located on the new pool/volume.

That should do the trick for the data.

Then, you may have to check the packages, Go to package manager and settings, set the installation volume for new packages to the new volume as well.
In case you have installed packages, like hyper backup or whatever, you should hyperbackup them, remove your raid 0 volume and reinstall from the package manager and the hyperbackup destination.

As EAZ1964 wrote, create a new volume and move the shared folders to it. The folder and data will be unavailable during the move. When the move is complete, the folder and data will be on the new volume.

ROLLY: Create a "test" shared directory on the RAID0 volume and try moving to the new volume.

I moved folders in DS720+ and DS1522+ similarly.
