Replacing a Failed NAS?

PLANNING AHEAD: I have 1511+ with HD in all 5 bays. Been running several years. Have been periodically replacing HDs as a precaution. [B]Question: What do I do should my NAS unit fail? How do I get HD set up in a new, replacement NAS?? Initial install formatted installed drives... ????? Thanks for link/advice![/B]

At least always have your backup ready obviously. Read more here.

If the NAS fails and you get a replacement, you can just swap the drives (if they are still intact) from the old NAS into the new NAS. Read more here.
