Hello,

I am looking for a way to limit internet-access of download station, photos or HyperBackup to one dedicated LAN-port/NIC.
I could put this NIC in another subnet or VLAN and set in my gateway/firewall (not the firewall in the DS!) that from this network/VLAN only interface WAN1 (fast line) can be used to access the internet (or receive anything).

The reason is that I don't want a lot of data to be pushed over the WAN2 fallback solution (e.g. cell phone network) and this includes download station, photos and also backup jobs.

Unfortunately I can't find a way to set such a service/program specidifc outbound firewall rule in DSM (7), also I don't see a way in Download-Station or any other app to only communicate via LAN#2 for instance.

Does anyone have an idea on how to implement this?

Thanks!

If you set a different network and assign a port to it I don't see why the firewall will not allow you to select the relevant interface for the apps behind it or are you looking for something different?

Oh and welcome to the forum!
