Hello,

I would like to run one task from Active Backup but after VPN Connection.
Is it possible from GUI? if not which is the command from terminal to start the task?

My script until now is

# Connecto to OpenVPN Server
sudo sh -c "echo conf_id=o1662488873 > /usr/syno/etc/synovpnclient/vpnc_connecting"
sudo sh -c "echo conf_name=HIDE >> /usr/syno/etc/synovpnclient/vpnc_connecting"
sudo sh -c "echo proto=openvpn >> /usr/syno/etc/synovpnclient/vpnc_connecting"
sudo synovpnc connect --id=o1662488873
# Run specific task from Active Backup

# Disconnect from OpenVPN Server
sudo synovpnc kill_client --id=o1662488873

Yes

I have a NAS in my home... and I have alreade a VPN connection from Synology GUI.
I can start the connection even from GUI even from terminal
but I can't find a way to run a specific backup job from ABB after the connection from terminal.

Well if you are starting the (VPN) connection manually, why can't you then simply run the ABB backup from the endpoint device that way as well?

Also, if you want to run it automatically, ABB client will not run if its configured towards the ABB NAS location using the local IP address of the NAS. That will work only when the tunnel is up. So once the tunnel is up, at the next scheduled interval the device will be able to backup.

Ι have scheduled for example to run a script to connect on VPN Server at 00:00
And the backup of ABB will found the source of backup on 10.10.10.20 (vpn server) and it will start the backup procudure (disk image of Linux) to my destination (destination is the same NAS).
Now here I don't know how much time need to complete to stop/kill vpn connection.

For this reason I ask if I can have one script describe this on my first message.
The main questin is if I can start backup of ABB by terminal.

Thank you
