Run Hyper Backup from a user task?

I use Hyper Backup to backup private shares on one Synology NAS to another Synology NAS. It works fine, but I really want to include a simple (simplistic) ransomware test and perform the backup only if the share seems clean. Is there any way to invoke Hyper Backup from a user task? Or is there a way to change the task created by Hyper Backup into a triggered task?

I know I could run rsync rather than Hyper Backup (I used to do that), but I want more than just a sync'ed copy of the shares; I want to keep multiple versions of the backup.

Thanks, but I don't see how that helps. My DS218 devices do support Snapshot & Replication, but as near as I can tell, I can't make execution of Snapshot & Replication conditional on the of the data to be copied, and I don't see that it produces versioned copies.

I need something that can be executed from a script (that validates the data to be backed up) or that can be triggered by such a script. And I want something that produces versioned backups.

Rusty's advice is good. An alternate would be to perform a mode 2 reset, which fixes DSM corruption.
