Hello all. New here.
I have a DS718+ with two disks for 6 years. It's dusty and noisy and I worry about failures. Just bought a new DS723+ with two disks and want to set them up in two different rooms wired with the same router for redundancy.
How do I make the new one as master and the old one as slave, just as a backup? Any advice on how to set these up? Thank you.

Once you configure your new 723 as a new NAS, you can use the built in (installed from the Package Center) HyperBackup package to backup any content on the NAS (including configuration), to the old 718 NAS.

On the destination NAS, you will need to install the HyperBackup Vault app, and secure enough space to accommodate the 723 data. Also, you will use an account configured on the 718 as well as a backup account (it can be an already exiting account or a dedicated backup account).
