Separate volume for VM storage?

Once again, thank you all for your help. First new DC VM built this afternoon. Didn't take long at all. And subjectively, as a machine to control remotely, it seems a lot quicker and more responsive than I was expecting.

If both volumes come from the same pool, there is no advantage to separate volumes, as those volumes are not drive specific.
Thank you for mentioning this, I'm just starting with VMs and saw a few people say that a separate storage pool/volume is advised. But currently I have 1 pool, so in this case I'll just use that pool and don't create another volume in my current pool.
