Setting up my new DS718+

And is the new DS720+:

Extra's goodies:
Crucial CT16G4SFRA266 DDR RAM, 16 GB
2x Intel® 670p 512 GB SSD

Performed HDD migration from DS718+ -> DS720+ . Much easier than it looks.

Configured the SSD cache as read-write:

You can clearly see the difference before and after SSD caching is enabled:

Have already noticed a huge performance increase with Dockerrized applications that are dependend on my MariaDB container, like Nextcloud and Zabbix.

Not sure, but I think my VM's will also benefit from this. It's a pitty there is no option to tell DSM what to keep in cache all the time. Otherwise, I would say store all VM virtual disks in cache at all times, plus my entire /volume1/docker folder.
