If the rock is porous then you could setup a hydro-electric generator. Probably not the right environment for set up a datacentre

Leaving email and removing the other [anti]social media sharing icons ... won't that still mean o<8 icon is still used? And yes that o<8 is the best way I can think to depict it.

I'm in the don't do FaceAche or Twaddle camp but others seem to like it. If it's not hurting or impeding then someone might use it but won't if not there.

Yes, that icon will still be there.

Well, let's say currently there is no harm of having it, so let them be for a while. Maybe some will use it and spread the word.
