Some months only have 4 Wednesdays so this example is for the 1st and 4th wed.

Start up:
monthly first,fourth wed at 00:01

Shut down:
monthly first,fourth wed at 23:59

did I do well?

power on.webp

poweron.webp

p.s. once I have set the command, I turn off the NAS without obviously unplugging it. Will the NAS Power Cycle begin automatically?

Thanks so much.
I write the commands as in the two images in post number 22 and then turn off the NAS! thanks again

I set everything up as per the images below.
However, I don't understand why only the activities of February 5th are indicated in "current state".
Did I make a mistake or does it only show me the February 5th activity because it is the closest in date?

I also noticed that the first line (the one starting with #) is not a command, it can also be deleted.
current state.webp
power off.webp
poweron30.webp

Current status shows the next shutdown and start up.

The line starting with # is a comment. You can delete it, or change it to whatever you want.

Why do have both of these lines?

Code:
Jan-Dec 8 AT 00:00
monthly first,fourth Wed AT 00:00

I have both of these lines, because as I wrote above, I would like the NAS to turn on every month on the 8th at 00.00 and turn off every month on the 13th at 11.59pm.
Furthermore (in addition to the previous command) the NAS will turn on the first and fourth Wednesday of the month at 00.00 and will turn off on the first and fourth Wednesday of the month at 11.59 pm.

Are the lines I inserted in "poweron" and "poweroff" correct?

What you've got now is going to shutdown on 05/02/2025 23:59 and then start 1 minute later. The NAS takes more than a minute to shut down, so it won't wake up. If you want it stay on for 24 hours change the 1st and 4th Wed shut down to Thu 23:59

forgive me, but I didn't understand.

Now in MAIN SCHEDULE I read:
"planned shutdown: 05/03/2025, 23:59:00"
"planned wake up: 05/02/2025, 00:00:00".

I understand that the NAS will wake up on Wednesday 5th at 00:00 and will turn off on Wednesday 5th at 23:59. So the NAS will be on all day 5 (Wednesday) which is what I want because day 5 is the first Wednesday of the month.

Unfortunately in MAIN SCHEDULE I don't see the activity scheduled from day 8 to day 13 but I will probably see this activity from day 6 February.

I ask you a courtesy, if there is a mistake, can you correct it?
For convenience I rewrite the command lines:

POWERON SETTINGS:
# Power on on the 8th of each month
Jan-Dec 8 at 00:00
monthly first, fourth Wednesday at 00:00

POWEROFF SETTINGS:
# Power off on the 13th of each month
Jan-Dec 13 at 23:59
monthly first, fourth Wed at 23:59

To summarize in my own words: I would like the NAS to turn on and stay on (all day) on the first and fourth Wednesday of each month (NAS on from 00:00 to 23:59).

Furthermore, every month, the NAS must remain turned on for six consecutive days, from day 8 to day 13.
On the remaining days of the month, the NAS must always remain turned off.
Can you correct the command lines if I wrote it wrong?

thank you so much

It depends on whether Advanced Power Management (or DSM) sees 00:00 as the start of the day or the end of the day.

If Wed 00:00 is seen as midnight Wed your schedules would power off at 11:59pm and power on at 12pm.

To make sure it powers on at the time you want it to change 00:00 to 00:01

Code:
POWERON SETTINGS:
# Power on on the 8th of each month and the 1st and 4th Wed at 00:01
Jan-Dec 8 at 00:01
monthly first, fourth Wednesday at 00:01

POWEROFF SETTINGS:
# Power off on the 13th of each month and the 1st and 4th Wed at 23:59
Jan-Dec 13 at 23:59
monthly first, fourth Wed at 23:59
