Hi All,

I am trying to free up some space on my Synology DS920+ running on DSM 7.1.1.
I noticed recently that in Storage Analyzer, I have a deleted user occupying about 1 TB of storage in their home folder.
I am not sure if this was an intended feature for Synology but I would have thought that any deleted user will have their space reclaimed.
Any advice on how to get the space back is greatly appreciated.

Files in the recycle bin? Snapshot replication? If files they created have been moved elsewhere they will still show as taking up space too.

The files are not in the homes' recycle bin. If the files are in the deleted user's recycle bin, I'm not sure how to empty it.
I do have snapshot replication, so do I have to wait for it to lapse?
According to Storage Analyzer, it is stuck somehow in homes.

To check, go to Universal Search, click the magnifying glass/down arrow in the top left, change the dropdown to User and type/select the user that seems to be taking up the space. Then search and see what comes up...

Yep - it negates the point of snapshot replication otherwise!

Nothing comes up in Universal Search.
Guess I have to wait for replication to lapse.
Thanks!

I do not recommend d-ram less SSD in a NAS. Did you manage to fix the error after checking the system logs?
