Mix-up at 27:29 discussing QNAP's recent security issues and says "Synology .... needs to prove itself" then goes on to discuss "Synology on the other hand...".

Still doing the "QNAP... if you're a Android or Windows user..." alignment where most of the Windows users I've ever met have virtually no computer competence. And a lot of Android users are using it because the handsets are cheaper. I find this repeated pairing of Synology/Mac/iOS vs QNAP/MS/Android view to be far too simplistic to categorise the vast majority of people that use Mac/Win and mobile devices.

i would say it is 100% the other way round. people with macs tend to have no idea what they're doing, because they don't need to.

I think what I was getting to is that most users don’t have much technical experience, regardless of what their offspring/partner/friend/journalist/salesperson says is better for them. Most get a Windows PC because they start cheaper than a Mac.

But there is a small percent of users that have some or a lot of computer literacy. Aligning this small subset of users to one NAS brand or another seems, to me, daft given most will have wrestled with other kit (routers!) with much worse UI’s.
