Hi all!
I have a question about video playback speed. Suppose the following:
1. NAS behind 100/100 mbit down/up-load fiber.
2. Quickconnect (with open ports to prevent relay)
3. DS220+ with 10 MB ram
Lets also include that I try to watch a video in Synology Photos (7.2.2-72806 UP1) on my iPhone 12 connected to a 100/100 mbit at another location (not through 4g/5g that is).
As I try that I get buffering so that it gets irritating.
What would you say is the bottle neck in such a case?
Is it:
A. the internet speed at my home or at the remote location?
B. The hardware in my DS220+?
C. Some transcoding needed for the playback?
D. Something else?
I can add that I upload videos through Synology Photos and do not use neither HEIC nor HEVC on my iPhone. It is set to compatibility mode (if that makes a difference).
Is there a cure to remove/lessen the buffering?
Regards
