The 2423RP+ that I have is such a jet engine noise wise.

Noise Level Testing Environment: A Synology NAS loaded with Synology 480GB SAT5200-480G solidstate drive(s) in idle state.
Each G.R.A.S. type 40AE microphone is placed at a 1-meter distance from the front and rear of a Synology NAS.

It's funny they loaded it with SSDs. And measured it at idle. Highly unrealistic use case.

Mine is half full with HDDs, and while I have it a noisy rack it is still nothing compared to the likes of SA series or the new DP one. Now those are jets

Sir, I known that this thread is about the RS1224+.
I responded to @zombiephysicist about his RS2423RP+

Is there a 12bay variant of that unit? The 2423RP+ that I have is such a jet engine noise wise. I wish they had another dual power source 12 bay unit that wasn't quite the vacuum cleaner noise wise.
