Synology Sharesync Problems

Synology Sharesync Problems

Hello. I am using Sharesync to share files from my older DS214Play (3.6 TB) to my new DS220+ (8TB).

While my source NAS (214Play) is syncing/sharing files to my destination NAS (220+) via Sharesync, the source NAS is somehow losing storage space. The longer the symc goes on, the more storage space I lose. I am down to 16gb and approaching 0 quickly.

I want to abort the current Sharesync task, clean up the source NAS, and run another Sharesync with a different set of files.

Help please.

TIA

For one way sync you should use Shared Folder Sync. not the bloated Synology Drive SharreSync.

If you are versioning these files, Synology Drive stores 2 copies on all ext4 formatted systems, which consumes your free space unnecessarily.
