Tailscale and SMB mount

Tailscale and SMB mount

I’m having a rather strange issue with tailscale.

Everything seems to work as expected (the package is installed, the NAS is authenticated into the account, I can PING it and access via HTTP) except that I can’t seem to be able to mount an SMB share :(

If I do \\100.x.x.x or \\100.x.x.x\myShare in windows explorer it will not come up - just report that the share does not exist. Local access is working just fine.

Is there anything special I should do to enable this ?

Works fine here... I created a desktop shortcut
Code:
\\100.xxx.xxx.xxx
then entered my NAS log in credentials. Done.
Or have I misunderstood your question?

I know this is old, but I just saw this. I didn't have to do anything with my shares in windows when I am connected to Tailscale. All previous shares connected usual without needing Tailscale IP.

BTW... Be sure to upgrade Tailscale from the GitHub repo. The Synology package is several releases old.
