I deleted my account in the synology forum as soon as I found this forum..

By all means, they have the worst customized forum based on discord I encountered so far.
I am not sure why big companies willingly migrate to discord, even though there are better options.

Discord per se isn't bad at all, see one of my favorite boards, Discord based Directory Opus Resource Centre which is well organized - It depends what the owner makes out of the software.

I doubt that new Synology community is Discord based, haven't found any evidence in HTML code. I guess it's written by Synology itself (which would explain why DSM 7 is way behind of any release date ;-)

I confused Discord with Discourse. The similarity to the Discourse optics made me jump to conclusions.
Anyhow, you are right, the html sources show no trace of neither one of both.
