Hello Synology users,
After upgrading to DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 7, several applications such as File Station, Universal Search, and Synology Drive Server stopped working. All the solutions I tried through the package centre did not work. I keep getting the message "Unable to run Universal Search" even after trying to restore the applications.
I have submitted a ticket, but the response was just a standard advice to reboot the system and some general solutions, which unfortunately did not help.
My question is
Is it better to revert to a previous version of DSM 7?
Or should I manually update to a newer version, such as DSM 7.2.2-72806 or 7.2.2-72806 Update 2?
I looked at the official Synology website for the steps to upgrade DSM versions (Upgrade from your current DSM version to your preferred version), but I doubt this is the best solution.
Or maybe you guys have another approach that might help?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Kind regards,
Cees Oskam
