Backing up same content using the same task?Is there a "best practice" regarding rotating external USB disk when backing up there ?
I'd like to manually rotate disks if possible without needing to get into the UI - is it possible / feasible ?
It's poor practice to pull a drive/disconnect a USB without unmounting the drive. Since you have to be there physically to change drives, is it that difficult to log on?I'd like to manually rotate disks if possible without needing to get into the UI

A simple, more secure practice is to leave the USB connected, and run the alternate backup to a cloud provider. In that way, should fire, flood, theft, malware... befall you. you have a safe "go to" backup. Most tend to leave drives connected though and just have different scheduled HB tasks going to different drives
Thanks - having experimented with this I can pretty much confirm that HyperBackup will not accept a new disk, even if formatted identically, having same capacity and same file structure, for the same job.As said earlier, you can unmount the drive as part of a backup task so you don't need the GUI once set - just pull the drive.
When all else fails, go to the Knowledge CenterSo in effect one has to create as many jobs as disks
