I'm getting my replacement DS923+ tomorrow, let's hope this one makes less noise than the old one. Anyway, I've obviously saved the disks from my old one and a configurationbackup. How do I get this new one running with the old setup? Do I have to use Synology Assistant?

I suspect DSM version might be different than the one installed on my harddrives?
That might happen depending on the version coming with that new 923. If that is the case, update will be needed indeed. If that is the case, Synology Assistant or find.synology.com would be a good starting point as you said.

Nothing comes up in Universal Search. Guess I have to wait for replication to lapse. Thanks!
