I think this came out a while back, and I've been using it for I think about a week, maybe more. It's been fine. It seems to properly lock at the higher antenna speed more so than previous versions, but still hooks up to the slower antenna on my mac pro more often than it did under 1.2.5x. That said, each update has been getting better. Albeit at a horrendously slow pace.

Frankly, the 6600ax is basically at the end of its useful technological life cycle as WiFi 7 has been out for quite a good bit of time now. It's time to leave Synology behind here, as they are and have always been horrendously non-competitive from a hardware stand point, but now, their software is nearing abandonware with regard to how slow it has been worked on to make 'stable'.

I love the UI and feature set, but I can no longer ignore that they really no longer care about the tech enthusiast/SOHO user base.

I’m using a Sata SSD in USB3 enclosure on one 2600, and m2 SSD in USB3 enclosure on other 2600, and neither 2600 has had TP FAIL since -10

??? Are your routers crashing or TP LOCKING UP? I’m not seeing either here. As posted elsewhere - a reduction in High Security probes.. since -10

Or are you using Thumb drives?

Years ago I had TP Lock up a 2600 due to SD CARD failing. TP does work things hard- why I went to SSD’s

PS: I’m using the NON DEFAULT “Process all packets- don’t drop them in high activity times” too, so if anything I’m hitting SSD harder than normal..

Have downshifted USB3 to USB2 speed...

Overall better reliability over Thumb or SD Card.
Small SATA SSD’s are cheap now. As are enclosures.
Had two devices (IROBOT Roomba’s) who’s WIFI MAP suffered with ext drive at USBV3 speed. Other devices didn’t seem to notice. So downshifted.
Yes, saw TP updates take longer at 2 vs 3, but…. You can’t win!

Surprised that the Non-Default setting didn’t get affected by downshift to USB2 speeds, as it was at USB3 for a few months

Somewhat drifting off topic here. So first I’ll say I’ve updated my RT6600ax, WRX560, and MR2200ac mesh with the latest patch and it seems to be stable. Earlier in the year, I had an issue with Threat Prevention stopping and required a reboot to fix. Had used a bi-weekly reboot schedule. But changed to weekly and a month or so ago stopped the schedule. The TP issue has gone away. Might’ve been an update along the way.

I don’t do the downgrade to USB 2 thing cos I really prefer devices to use 5 GHz. Also use a small M.2 SSD in a metal enclosure for the TP database. Overkill but not overly costly, plus more reliable than the SanDisk Ultra thumb drive that got fried in the previous RT2600ac.
